Don’t cry
For the children
Starving
For you are too
Starved
Out of war emerged a Phoenix
Out of boredom of watching T.V.
You learned to look outside
Not knowing who you are
I AM HERE
Cries your ghost
But you change the channel
Then try to find inspiration
At an empty bar
Don’t cry for starving children
Cry for those
Not knowing they are starved
I used to trust the shield
I’d create around me
As she told me
سلام و قول من رب رحيم
I told myself those words
Over and over
As I passed a terrorist stop
As I passed the bombed car
As I closed my eyes to sleep
…
But now I’m safe
Away from it all
And I say those words again
Salamun wa qaulun min rabin raheem
“Peace from a merciful God”
And I hope to rest
Forgetting what I can not forget
Can you truly be you
Unafraid
No make up
No filter
To alter your face
Can you find it
In your heart
To let them see
Who you truly are
For no other has been made
In exactly the same way

Standing on a bridge
Crying to the wolves
She suddenly doesn’t feel alone
Free, as they are, she was born to roam
She follows trails of her own
Calling these woods her home
Talking to waterfalls
You can see the leaves in her hair
The dirt on the dress she wears
Running free without any cares
The universe is her place
Heather you’ll never be alone
The wolves will follow you there
In the deep forest with no fear
You are free to be your own
You are the puppy I’ve always wanted
You are a song with a perfect rhyme
You are made out of my imagination
You are something that I call mine
But you disappeare too soon
As I wake
How did you lose your footing
On a dry day
How did you find no other option
And have nothing to say
You are one in MILLIONS
Not meant to give up your right
Here to be inspired
Here to keep up the fight
Don’t lose your footing to a brick
On your path
Arms stretching out
Feeling the boarders of my imagination
Running my fingers on an unseen destination
How could I see things I can not imagine?
How could I become what I do not dare to be?
This box
Was not
Made
For
ME

Did you want to crawl into my head

I am your master
Just wait and see
I made you up in my head and heart
To bring new dreams and a new start
I think

Much too often
The thing I was meant to find
I think
I found
Much too fast
You were never meant to be left behind
My guardian angel
